Welcome. I'm Really Glad You Found This Little Corner.

Can I tell you something?

I've lost count of how many times I've typed a long message... then deleted the whole thing.

Not because I didn't have anything to say.

Because I didn't know how to say it.

How do you explain that you're tired when you've been sleeping?

How do you explain that your heart feels heavy when nothing terrible has happened?

How do you explain that you're grateful for your life but, somehow, still feel like you're waiting for it to begin?

Those are strange feelings, aren't they?

They're hard to put into words.

And because they're hard to explain, we usually keep them to ourselves.

We answer, "I'm fine."

We change the subject.

We tell ourselves we'll figure it out eventually.

Then life gets busy again.

But late at night, when the house is quiet and the scrolling finally stops, those same thoughts have a way of finding us again.

I've had nights like that.

Maybe you have too.

Sometimes I think the hardest questions aren't the ones people ask us.

They're the ones we whisper to ourselves.

"Am I falling behind?"

"Why do I still feel lost?"

"Why does everyone else seem so certain?"

"Is something wrong with me?"

I don't think enough of us admit we're carrying questions like these.

We live in a world that's very good at celebrating answers.

People post the engagement.

The graduation.

The new job.

The new baby.

The finished house.

Very few people post the months they cried because none of those things were happening.

Very few people talk about the prayers that felt unanswered.

Or the dreams they quietly buried because hoping became too painful.

That's why I wanted to create this space.

Not because I have all the answers.

I don't.

Some days I'm still figuring life out too.

But I've learned that something beautiful happens when people stop pretending they have everything together.

They breathe differently.

They speak more honestly.

They realize they're not nearly as alone as they thought.

That's what I hope this place becomes.

Not another website telling you how to fix your life in five easy steps.

Goodness knows the internet has enough of those already.

I want this to feel more like sitting across from someone who isn't trying to impress you.

Someone who listens before she speaks.

Someone who isn't uncomfortable with silence.

Someone who knows that healing doesn't always arrive with fireworks.

Sometimes it arrives quietly.

Like finally finding the words for something you've been feeling for years.

Or reading one sentence and thinking,

"I thought I was the only one."

If that happens here, even once, then this blog will have done what I hoped it would.

We'll talk about relationships.

Not just the romantic ones.

We'll talk about friendships that quietly drift apart.

About parents we love but don't always understand.

About loneliness that somehow follows us even in crowded rooms.

We'll talk about faith too.

Not the polished kind that never has questions.

The kind that keeps praying even when heaven feels unusually quiet.

The kind that sometimes whispers,

"God... are You still there?"

And we'll trust that He isn't afraid of honest questions.

We'll talk about starting over.

About forgiving people.

About forgiving ourselves.

About the strange grief of becoming someone new while saying goodbye to who we used to be.

Mostly, though, we'll talk about being human.

Because I think many of us are exhausted from trying to appear stronger than we actually feel.

If you've found your way here because life feels confusing...

Welcome.

If you've found your way here because everyone around you seems to have life figured out except you...

Welcome.

If you're carrying a question you've never known how to ask out loud...

Welcome.

You don't have to arrive here with perfect faith.

Or perfect words.

Or a perfectly organized life.

Just come as you are.

We'll figure some of it out together.

And on the days we can't figure it out, maybe we'll simply remind each other that not every unanswered question is a sign that we're lost.

Sometimes it's just proof that we're still growing.

I'm really glad you're here.

I hope, somewhere between these words and the ones still to come, you find a little less pressure, a little more clarity, and the comforting feeling that someone else has been here too.

So, make yourself comfortable.

Take what you need.

Leave what you don't.

And whenever life gives you another question you don't quite know how to carry...

You know where to find me.
